What Zupelo promises, and just as importantly, what it does not.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

Learning outcomes

Zupelo is designed to help children learn and to make them want to keep learning. It is a supplement to school, teachers and family life, not a replacement for any of them. We do not promise a particular grade, test score, reading age or exam result. Children learn at different speeds, and progress depends on far more than any app.

Educational content

Our games and lessons are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by qualified teachers in the relevant subject before any child sees them. We work hard to be accurate, but no curriculum is perfect. If you spot an error, tell us at hello@zupelo.com and we will fix it and thank you properly.

Where we describe content as matched to a school framework, that means our team has mapped it to published learning goals. It does not mean any ministry, board or examining body has endorsed, approved or accredited Zupelo.

AI buddies

Pelo, Pip, Nova and Rook are characters powered by artificial intelligence. They are teaching helpers, not people, not teachers and not counsellors. Like all AI systems they can occasionally be wrong or misunderstand a question. Buddies are limited to the game in front of the child, and every conversation is saved for the account holder to read. Buddies must never be relied on for medical, legal, safety or emotional advice, and a child who needs help should always speak to a trusted adult.

Screen time and wellbeing

Zupelo sets short default time limits and gives parents full control, because we believe less is usually more. We are not able to judge what is right for your child. Decisions about screen time, device use and balance belong to families, and where you have a concern about your child's development, learning or wellbeing, please speak to a doctor or teacher rather than an app.

Safety features

We have designed Zupelo to be a closed environment: no open chat, no public profiles, no strangers, and adult approval on both sides of every friend connection. No system is perfect. Parents and teachers should keep talking to children about online safety, and tell us immediately at safety@zupelo.com if anything looks wrong.

English Check

English Check gives an honest assessment of a child's English at the moment they sat the test. It is not a university admissions test, a visa or immigration document, or a substitute for the established examinations used for those purposes. Acceptance of a Zupelo result is entirely up to the school, tutor or programme receiving it.

Off-screen and making activities

Science and making projects are designed to use ordinary household items and are rated for the supervision they need. Adults are responsible for supervising them. Please check for allergies, sharp objects, heat and small parts before starting, and use your own judgement about what is safe for your child.

Comparisons with other products

Where we compare Zupelo with other learning apps, we use their publicly published prices and features as at the date shown on that page. Prices and features change often, especially during sales, so please check with each provider for today's information. All other product names and trademarks belong to their owners. Zupelo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any other company we mention.

Business and investor information

Material on our investor page, including market sizes, unit economics, retention figures and roadmaps, is illustrative planning information for a concept-stage product. It is not audited, not a forecast you should rely on, and not an offer or invitation to buy securities. Forward-looking statements involve risks and assumptions, and actual results may differ.

External links

Where we link to other websites, we do so because we think they are useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices or what they show your child.

Prototype status

This website is a concept prototype. Figures, sample reports, dashboards and results shown in it are illustrative examples, not real user data.

This disclaimer sits alongside our terms and conditions and privacy policy. It is a sample prepared for a concept product and is not legal advice. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.
