๐Ÿ’ป Coding ยท Ages 6โ€“18

Blocks, then logic,
then real code

Children start by dragging blocks and finish by shipping something a friend can open. Pelo debugs beside them and never for them.

Planned Not playable yet. Listed so you can see where Zupelo is going, because an empty room is worse than an honest label.

Loops ยท Master

Pelo should draw a square. What is wrong?

repeat 3 [ forward 100, turn 90 ]

Count the corners of a square. Now count what the loop does.

A sample, not a live game. Pelo hints and cheers โ€” he never chats.

The path

Five stages, three to eighteen

Not five difficulty settings. Each stage changes the reading level, the length of a round, how quickly Pelo offers a hint, and what the whole thing looks like.

ยท
Discover ยท not yet Coding opens at six, once a child can read an instruction. Before that, Thinking and Making cover sequencing with no syntax to fight.
2
Explore ยท ages 6 to 8 Sequences and loops โ€” Tap the blocks in order and watch Pelo move. Repeats, conditions, and finding the one block in the wrong place.
3
Master ยท ages 9 to 11 Real syntax โ€” Python, with the blocks still there when you want them back.
4
Challenge ยท ages 12 to 14 Programs that hold data โ€” Lists, functions, files, and a game a friend can actually play.
5
Launch ยท ages 15 to 18 Shipping something โ€” JavaScript, the web, version control, and putting a thing in front of strangers.
What is different here

Three decisions worth explaining

The bug is the lesson

Most of the work is broken code that needs finding, because that is most of the work in the job too.

Debugs with you, never for you

Pelo narrows down where to look and asks what you expected to happen. He does not paste the fix.

Blocks never disappear

Moving to text is a choice, not a door that locks. A child who wants the blocks back for a hard idea can have them.

Fifteen game types, filled by Coding

What a child actually does

We did not build five hundred unrelated games. We built fifteen game types any subject can fill, which is why the twelfth academy costs a fraction of the first.

Make Pelo move

Drag blocks, watch him trip, work out why.

Bug hunt

Something here is broken. Find it before the timer.

Coding dungeon

Write the code that opens the door.

Ship it

Build something, then hand it to someone who was not there.

One engine, every academy

Most apps adapt the difficulty. Zupelo adapts everything else too.

The pitch of a question is the easy part. What changes underneath is which skill comes next, how it is explained, when a hint arrives, how long a session runs, and what a wrong answer is taken to mean.

Coding shares that engine with the other eleven. A day spent on coding keeps the same streak as a day spent anywhere else, because losing interest in one subject should never cost a child the habit.

How the engine picks

๐Ÿš One currency

Shells, earned for finishing and for coming back โ€” never for being right. They cannot be bought and cannot be converted.

๐Ÿ”ฅ One streak

Any academy keeps it going. Miss a day and a streak save covers it, on every plan including free.

๐Ÿ”’ No leaderboard

There is no global ranking and no public profile. Comparison is with your own last week, or with friends a grown-up approved.

Every child learns differently.
